The story was about tissue that had been removed from a dead cancer victim in 1951, which had been cloned millions of times over making huge profits for drug companies, while the woman’s children couldn’t even afford health insurance.I searched through the picture libraries to find a Hela cell. It actually looked strangely attractive. It was bright, colourful and engaging so I decided to use it for the layout.I wanted to incorporate a strong headline and type treatement. So I decided to duplicate the cell to make the “million”out of the headline, also with the copyright symbol for the “c” of “cell” and the circular treatment of the text brought a strong news feature to life.
